Biscuits – Brownie Biscotti
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla essence
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 1 tbsp. water
- 2 tsp. baking powder
Directions ::..
1.Beat butter until soft and add sugar and baking powder. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
2.Add cocoa and flour. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
3.Divide dough into two equal parts. Shape into 9 x 2 x 1 inch loaves.
4.Place on sheet 4 inches apart. Brush with mixture of water and yolk.
5.Bake at 190 degrees C for 25 minutes. Cool on sheet for 30 minutes.
6.Cut loaves into thick slices diagonally. Lay cut side down and bake at 165 degrees C for 15 minutes.
7.Turn over and bake other side for 10 to 15 minutes until dry. Cool.
