Aloo Dum
- Small potatos – 1lb
- Sliced tomatos – 2
- Onion – 2
- Bay leaves – 2 or3
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 1/2 tsp
- Yogurt – 1/2 cup
- Red chilli powder as required
- Salt to tatse
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1tsp
- Butter – 2tsp
Directions ::..
Peel potatoe.Heat 1/2 cup oil in a pan and deep fry until it turns brown.Remove to a dish.
Take some oil in another pan, fry bayleaves ,mustard and cumin seeds for a minute.Then add onion,tomato ,turmeric,ginger garlic paste,red chilli powder ,salt and fry till raw smell goes off.Then add potatoes, 1/2 cup water and curd.When potatoes are cooked and gravy is thick.Add in garam masala and butter.Remove from heat at once and serve with plain rice and chapathi.
